To understand who we are today, you have to begin with the foundation of KDS Furniture Services.

KDS has been in the furniture industry since 1996. Founder and master technician, Kelvin De Los Santos, began his career working in the warehouse operations of Macy's and Bloomingdale's, where he learned the fundamentals of furniture repair — wood touch-ups, structural corrections, disassembly and reassembly, and field service work.

Within a few years, Kelvin became a traveling furniture technician servicing major retail brands. He later worked as a road technician for Ashley’s Furniture, where he was eventually promoted to shop manager and head technician. In that role, he trained other technicians and oversaw warehouse repair operations.

Driven to master his craft, Kelvin went on to study professional wood refinishing techniques and expanded his expertise into upholstery. Over the years, he worked across the United States with major furniture brands and trading firms, including Williams-Sonoma brands. After decades of commercial experience, he expanded into residential services — bringing professional-grade craftsmanship directly to homeowners.

With nearly 30 years of experience, KDS built a reputation for structural integrity, precision workmanship, and dependable service.

In 2025, a new chapter began. The owner of Royal Dinettes, a family-run business serving the community for over 75 years, was preparing for retirement. Through a long-time customer connection, Kelvin and Disney of KDS Furniture Services were introduced to Richard Friedman. After several conversations, KDS purchased Royal Dinettes — preserving its legacy while continuing its tradition of quality.

Today, we combine the heritage and reputation of Royal Dinettes with the technical expertise and craftsmanship of KDS Furniture Services.
